Grandplus College has launched its new Student Recreation Center, a comprehensive wellness facility designed to support student physical and mental health. The center reflects our commitment to holistic student development and work-life balance.
The facility features a fully equipped gymnasium with cardio machines, free weights, and strength training equipment. In addition to traditional fitness equipment, the center offers spaces for yoga, pilates, and other wellness activities. Professional fitness instructors are available to provide guidance and develop personalized fitness programs for interested students.
Beyond physical fitness, the Recreation Center houses multipurpose spaces for recreational activities including table tennis, badminton, and other indoor sports. These facilities encourage students to take breaks from their demanding health sciences programs and engage in physical activity, which research has shown improves academic performance and mental health.
The center also includes a quiet wellness zone with comfortable seating areas, meditation spaces, and resources on stress management and mental health. Trained wellness counselors are available to discuss concerns related to stress, anxiety, or other wellness matters.
Regular wellness programs and fitness classes are scheduled throughout the week, including Zumba, aerobics, swimming, and team sports. The Recreation Center has quickly become a hub of student life, fostering community among students from different programs and year levels.
This investment in student wellness demonstrates Grandplus College's recognition that student success extends beyond academics to include physical health and emotional wellbeing.
