The Grandplus College Library has successfully completed its major expansion project, creating an enhanced learning environment for all students. The expanded facility now spans 8,000 square meters and includes modern study spaces, expanded digital resources, and collaborative learning areas.
The new sections feature flexible learning zones designed to accommodate different study styles—from quiet individual study areas to collaborative group work spaces equipped with modern technology. The library now houses over 15,000 print titles specifically curated for health sciences programs, complemented by digital access to major medical and scientific journals.
A significant highlight of the expansion is the introduction of digital libraries and online resources. Students and faculty now have 24/7 access to databases including MEDLINE, PUBMED, and multiple digital journal collections essential for health sciences research and learning. The library staff has been trained to assist students in navigating these resources effectively.
The expansion also includes a dedicated learning commons area with computer terminals, printers, and scanning facilities. Special sections have been created for different health programs—nursing, pharmacy, community health, and others—each with resources tailored to their specific curriculum needs.
This expansion represents a major investment in student learning and research capabilities, positioning Grandplus College as a center of excellence for health sciences education in Nigeria.
