Grandplus College has completed equipping all lecture halls and classrooms with smart technology as part of its Smart Classroom Initiative. This comprehensive technology integration enhances teaching and learning across all programs.
Each classroom is now equipped with interactive digital displays (rather than traditional whiteboards), document cameras, integrated audio systems, and high-speed internet connectivity. These technologies allow instructors to display dynamic content, incorporate multimedia resources, and create more engaging learning experiences.
The interactive displays support collaborative learning with features allowing students to interact with content directly. Instructors can annotate, highlight, and manipulate visual information in real time, making complex health sciences concepts more comprehensible. The technology also facilitates the integration of current research, case studies, and real world examples into lectures.
A key feature of the Smart Classroom Initiative is lecture recording capability. All classroom sessions are automatically recorded and uploaded to our learning management system, allowing students to review lectures, reinforce learning, and catch up if they miss a session. This is particularly valuable for students managing complex health sciences material.
The system includes wireless connectivity for students' personal devices, enabling them to participate in interactive activities such as quizzes, polls, and real time problem-solving exercises using their laptops or tablets.
Teachers have received comprehensive training on effective use of the technology. Professional development sessions emphasize pedagogical approaches that leverage technology to enhance rather than distract from learning. Faculty are encouraged to use the technology intentionally to support learning objectives.
This initiative reflects our commitment to preparing students for modern healthcare environments where they will encounter similar technologies and digital tools. It also enhances the quality of teaching by enabling instructors to incorporate multimedia and interactive content that caters to diverse learning styles.
