Guest Lecture Series

Grandplus College has established a Guest Lecture Series bringing experienced healthcare practitioners and thought leaders to campus regularly to share their expertise and experiences with students.

The series features monthly lectures from accomplished professionals working in various health specialties including clinical practice, public health, healthcare administration, health research, and healthcare education. Speakers share insights from their professional experiences, discuss career pathways, and address current issues in health and healthcare.

The guest lecturers include Grandplus alumni who have distinguished themselves in various health related fields. These alumni presentations are particularly valuable, showing students concrete examples of career trajectories and demonstrating how education at Grandplus College has contributed to professional success.

Speakers are selected to represent diverse health disciplines and work settings, exposing students to the breadth of career opportunities available to health sciences graduates. Some lectures focus on clinical specialties, others on public health or healthcare administration, reflecting the diverse roles health professionals play in society.

The lectures go beyond traditional presentation formats. Many include interactive components where students can ask questions, discuss with speakers, and engage in dialogue. Some speakers incorporate case discussions or problem-solving activities, making the sessions more engaging and educational.

The series addresses current health issues and emerging topics in health sciences. Recent lectures have covered topics such as COVID-19 pandemic response, non-communicable disease prevention, mental health in healthcare settings, and innovations in health technology.

After formal presentations, speakers often remain for informal discussions and networking with interested students. These informal sessions allow students to learn about specific career pathways and gain mentorship from accomplished professionals.

The Guest Lecture Series enriches the classroom experience by bringing diverse perspectives and real world insights into the academic program. It helps bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice, and motivates students by exposing them to inspiring examples of healthcare professionals making meaningful contributions to health.
